Hello,

My name is Missy and I am the owner and artist at The Altruist SF. I have been a licensed, practicing esthetican since 2010 and gained experience working in spas and lash studios. In 2016 while perusing apartments online, I came across an office for rent and decided to take the plunge and open my own business! I love change and challenge and what better way to shake things up then to do something I’ve never done before.

In 2022 I had my sights set on something bigger. More space with more opportunity for growth and was lucky to find my new home on Sacramento Street. After a couple months of hard work giving the place a facelift, I began welcoming clients to my new space. I wanted to create a clean and welcoming space and am so pleased with the way my new shop turned out- it was pretty dang ugly before! I welcomed a Tennant in the start of 2023 to share the space and be able to offer more in depth skin care services. I hope you feel welcome and ready to relax when you enter our door.

Since finishing school over 14 years ago, I have continued my education through trainings, product certifications and by attending trade shows. My goal is to deliver an honest, quality service while sourcing the best brands on the market. With each new training or class I attend, I learn about new brands, practices, tips and tricks, and most importantly how to deliver a satisfying and effective service to my clients. I love getting to know all of you and strive to make my office a positive and relaxing environment where you can relax and forget about the hectic world for an hour. After all, Lash Naps are (almost) the best part!
